Bazaar-ly Warm for Fall

Living in the desert, saying Fall hasn't arrived is an understatement. Temperatures have finally fallen below 100 degrees Fahrenheit and the people are starting to emerge from their homes to enjoy to "cooler" (mid-80s to 90s) air. This is the kind of weather I am not used to. Back in Maine, I'd be starting to feel that cool autumn air, the leaves would start to change colors, we would be apple picking and playing in the pumpkin patches. These are things I'd never thought I'd miss, they'd always been a constant every year. 

While Fall in Maine is lovely, I'm certainly glad I won't have to deal with the winters any more. Nevada does have it's perks. For instance I was able to wear this, very summery, outfit yesterday. The Bazaar top from Lilly Pulitzer was one of my summer favorites which I regret not purchasing sooner. The colors are bold and bright and the detail on the little Indian elephants are adorable. Paired with perfect neutrals and bling, this is definitely a Fall first for me.

Eggplant

Today is the official first full day of fall so I thought I'd celebrate a little bit of both fall and summer yesterday. I love this floral blouse from J Crew; its deep colors are easy enough to integrate into the new season. Especially with some fun eggplant shorts! Eggplant is probably one of the least sexy words out there but I'm obsessed. I love this deep hue,perfect for fall. Paired with some neutral accessories; and the not-so neutral, in my stunning CYP bangles. My chocolate lab, Chunk, even joined in on the fun!

Fall in the "Summer"

As a Northeast to Southwest transplant, my wardrobe and I were certainly not prepared for the extended summer that Las Vegas has to offer. I have been struggling the past few weeks on how I was going to dress for the fall in a place where summer never really ends. I certainly don't miss the rapid decrease in temperature and quick change from shorts daily to sweaters that my home state -Maine- had to offer, but I miss the fall style. I love fall for its deep reds, purples, and grays, colors that you just can't wear all summer long. I feel I have finally found that balance on how to dress for the fall, in the 'summer'.
